Curated By: Nudie Jeans London – The unsigned
At Nudie Jeans, we’re always listening. And trust me when I say this—because hI personally listen to a lot of music in my role.
Not just what’s trending, but what’s bubbling under. The voices you haven’t heard yet. The sounds still living in bedrooms, backrooms, and barely-lit venues—crafted by artists armed with little more than passion and a few pedals.
So when we put out an open call for our first Nudie Night in London, we didn’t know what to expect. But the response blew us away: over 460 submissions from unsigned artists across the UK in just a matter of hours.
While we could only fit a handful onto the live lineup, we knew we had to find a way to share more of what we discovered.
That’s why, for this edition of "Curated By", me and the London team took over the playlist—handpicking tracks from submissions that moved us, surprised us, or stuck in our heads long after listening.
And honestly? It sparked something.
Someone at HQ (not naming names!) said the other day: “Rock’n’roll is dead.”
But after digging through these tracks, I beg to differ.
Rock’n’roll isn’t just alive—it’s evolving.
It’s not just about a certain sound or having stadium crowds. It’s about spirit. Grit. Belief.
It’s an attitude more than a genre—and it’s all over this playlist.
This is more than just a warm-up for Nudie Night. It’s a snapshot of what’s next.
A love letter to the unsigned, the unheard, the not-yet-discovered.
It’s lo-fi heartbreakers, kitchen-recorded punk anthems, late-night soul, DIY pop, and gritty indie gold.
It’s not polished. It’s not perfect.
It’s real. And that’s what makes it beautiful.
So here it is: Curated by Nudie Jeans London – The unsigned, featuring a handful of the artists from the Nudie Night open call.
We hope you discover a new favourite. Just like our evening at The Old Blue Last, this is a musical rollercoaster (sorry, not sorry). And if you’re heading to the show tonight or not, consider this your sonic pregame.
Because this isn’t just about throwing a party—it’s about putting real music in the spotlight. And giving it the volume it deserves.
Denim love,
Bettina x
