Its name is believed to reference the fabric's hard-wearing properties, likening it to the toughness of hickory wood. Unlike 3/1 denim, hickory denim uses a 2/1 construction, resulting in a flatter texture and lighter weight, making it ideal for workwear where comfort is key.
