Heavy Selvage, crafted from 17 oz heavyweight Japanese selvage denim, one of our heaviest fabric.
It exemplifies exceptional craftsmanship and with remarkable aging properties, produced with ring-spun organic cotton to replicate the slub-yarns of the early 20th century, primarily designed for rugged workwear.
The warp yarns are rope-dyed in pure indigo, resulting in a thin, dark outer layer while maintaining an undyed core, which enhances the aging process. Woven on 1950s shuttle looms, this coarse and thick denim features a textured surface and distinct twill lines that develop striking marble effects over time with wear and washing.
