Curated by Nudie Jeans London – The Unsigned
At Nudie Jeans, we’re always listening. And trust me when I say that—because I personally listen to a lot of music in my role. Not just what’s trending (because, honestly, trend is pretty uninteresting to us). What we care about is what’s bubbling under the surface. That’s if I’m not spinning my favourite bangers—most of which dropped long before I was even born.
We’re drawn to the voices you haven’t heard yet. The sounds still living in bedrooms, backrooms, and barely-lit venues—crafted by artists armed with nothing but passion and a few pedals. Rock’n’roll has, in some ways, always been part of who we are. Not just in how it sounds, but in how it feels. It’s woven into our denim, our mindset, our view on the world. It’s about independence, honesty, and pushing forward—on your own terms.
So when we put out an open call for our first-ever Nudie Night in London (I’ll be sharing the low-down on that beast of an evening soon), we didn’t know exactly what we’d find. But the response? Completely overwhelming. Over 460 submissions from unsigned artists across the UK—in just a few hours. And while we could only fit a handful onto the live lineup at The Old Blue Last, we knew we couldn’t just let the rest fade into our inbox. We had to share more of what we discovered.
And honestly? It sparked something.
Someone at HQ (not naming names!) said the other day: “Rock’n’roll is dead.” But after digging through these tracks, I beg to differ. Rock’n’roll isn’t just alive—it’s evolving. It’s not about a specific sound or stadium crowds. It’s about spirit. Grit. Belief. It’s an attitude more than a genre—and it’s all over this playlist.
That’s why, for this edition of Curated By, me and the Nudie Jeans London team took over the playlist—handpicking tracks from the open call that moved us, surprised us, or stayed with us long after listening. Because this isn’t just a warm-up for a night out—it’s a snapshot of what’s next.
A love letter to the unsigned, the unheard, the not-yet-discovered. These are lo-fi heartbreakers, kitchen-recorded punk anthems, late-night soul experiments, DIY pop gems, and gritty indie gold. It’s not polished. It’s not perfect. It’s real. And that’s exactly what makes it exciting.
So here it is: Curated by Nudie Jeans London – The Unsigned. A playlist built from passion, not algorithms. Turn it up. Let it roll.
And if you’re joining us at the next Nudie Night, consider this your sonic pre-game.
Denim love,
