Grand Opening: Nudie Jeans Amsterdam: The 9 Streets

Welcome to the latest Nudie Jeans Repair Shop – In the heart of Amsterdam.

Rumour has it that we’ve sold close to a million pairs of our jeans in the Netherlands. This is a mind-blowing number but Amsterdam being the denim mecca that it is, it kind of makes sense. It also leads us to believe that our newest Repair Shop couldn’t have come at a better time.

Located in the heart of Amsterdam's most photogenic micro-neighborhood with quirky streets that straddle Amsterdam’s grandest canals and known to locals as De Negen Straatjes or ‘The Nine Streets’, this is a legendary neighbourhood bursting with vintage op-shops, cafes and bars. And now, a Nudie Jeans Repair Shop.

There was a Grand Opening – if you don’t follow our Instagram you may have missed it. Guests came in droves to help us celebrate and make us feel welcome – but no amount of photos or Instagram stories could sum up the amount of vibes shared by all that came through. In true Nudie Jeans fashion, there were drinks, hotdogs (vegetarian as well) and sparkling wine from our local brewing friends and when the police politely asked asked to contain the crowd that had eventually spilled out into the streets we knew it was time to shut up shop (literally) and take ourselves to the after party with Tornado Wallace and Steele Bonus.

We didn’t want the night to end and our guest selectors Tornado Wallace and Steele Bonus kept us going till the club was shut down. It was also nice to see Suzanne Kraft and Jonny Nash keeping the guys on their toes in the booth.

Luckily for you, the readers of this space, our newly acquired Community Coordinator has survived the start up months at HQ and we’ve given him the keys to The Journal.
